In 2002, six leading organisations initiated International Men’s Health Week, which now raises awareness of worldwide issues that affect the overall health and wellbeing of men and boys.

The theme for 2022 is on the importance of providing a better environment for men.

Clear Health Psychology’s Jon Marginis told Millsy at Midday host Steve Mills on Friday there was pressure on boys and men to live up to expectations around masculinity.

“They have expectations and pre-conceived ideas of how they should be, this idea of what masculinity is,” he said.
