Mandurah Cricket Club player, Brendan ‘Ned’ Ingle, is hoping to set a world record for longest run to start a game of cricket as part of the club’s centenary celebrations this Saturday.

The current record is 7.17 kilometres held by Matthew Hunt from Bath, England.

Brendan told 6PR Breakfast he is also raising money for the Australian Alzheimers Research Foundation.

“I am not a bowler but I do quite a mean Jeff Thomson interpretation so I’ll try throw that into the mix,” Brendan said.
