Labor release costings

Article image for Labor release costings

Labor has released its election-policy costings two days out from the state election.

Shadow treasurer Ben Wyatt says a Labor government would get the Budget back in surplus by 2019/20, although it would make only a small dent in debt, which it expects to hit $41 billion.

Mr Wyatt says Labor has had its sums checked by two former public servants, having opted not to submit policies to Treasury.

He spoke with Oliver Peterson.
