Nathan Coulter-Nile admits he was surprised when told of his call-up to the Australian Test squad, but he’s feels now is his time to perform in place of injured fast bowler Mitchell Starc.

The 28 year old West Australian hasn’t played a Sheffield Shield game this summer because of a shoulder injury.

But chairman of Selectors Rod Marsh is backing the paceman to make his mark including him in the 12 man squad for the first test against the West Indies.
