Hardie: Leave our game alone

Brad Hardie has implored the AFL to leave the game alone in the wake of news they would consider trialling a 16-per-side format.
It grew legs on Wednesday as The Age also reported the AFL has developed a modified game involving seven players per side on a rectangular soccer pitch.
Mark Evans said on Melbourne radio Tuesday the competition would consider trialling a 16-per-side format at some stage perhaps in the pre-season tournament.
‘Any danger they could leave the game alone,’ Hardie said after listening to the audio.
