Nobody would argue the best way to understand a subject is to surround yourself with it.

But many would question the idea of doing it by diving with one of the largest and most powerful apex predators in the world, the great white shark.

James Woodford decided he would do just that. 

Mr Woodford describes the shark as a ‘supersized goldfish with an inner lion’ and says sharks will nearly always ignore humans in the water.
