Giant fireman stolen from toy store

A brazen thief has been caught on camera committing an unusual crime – the culprit stole a 1.4-metre fireman figurine from a toy shop in Cottesloe.
According to the police, two people riding a green motorised scooter were spotted near the Fiddlesticks Toy Store on Station Street on Friday afternoon.
It’s believed one of those people returned on the same scooter and pinched the PlayMobil figurine, which is ‘a bit like a big Lego man’, and awkwardly drove off with it.
‘He’s like the icon to our shop,’ store owner Carol Angers told 6PR’s Chris Ilsley.
‘We’re missing him desperately out the front and so are the kids.’
While staff admitted they could see the light side of the quirky theft, they urged the thief to bring him back ‘home’.
‘He is from Germany, so he is quite hard to replace,’ Ms Angers said.
‘No questions asked, we just want our man back.’
