GAME DAY: West Coast Hold On For G Win

The West Coast Eagles have held on for a narrow seven-point win after Carlton’s late surge at the MCG had three unanswered Blues goals push the Eagles limits, but time was on the visitor’s side.
Although the Eagles started with a few quick goals and the Blues struggled to find the big sticks for a majority of the game, Carlton stayed in touch with West Coast and gave their fans something to cheer about with Kade Simpson taking a big mark and getting the ball to Bryce Gibbs for their third consecutive goal, but the time ran out and the Eagles take home the 12.10 (82) to 11.9 (75) victory.

It was the first time West Coast have won over Carlton at the MCG and it was Andrew Gaff who clocked up 30 disposals and Jamie Cripps who kicked three goals, that added to the Eagles victory. While Jack Darling recorded five behinds and Josh Kennedy kicked one goal, two.
