GAME DAY: Freo finally get their first

Fremantle have finally broken their equal longest losing streak by demolishing Essendon by 79-points at Domain Stadium on Saturday evening.

It was a massive game for Fremantle who kicked the first goal within seconds of bouncedown and their forwards continued the trend finishing the game 20.6 (126) to 6.11 (47).

Lachie Neale had a big game out with 42 disposals and a goal while Michael Walters, Chris Mayne and Matthew Pavlich all kicked three goals apiece.

Ryan Crowley made his return to Domain Stadium going up against his former teammates for the first time, he was welcomed home by the Freo faithful, but a late injury to Crowley dampened the event. Crowley injured his hamstring in the fourth quarter and received a standing ovation as he made his way off the ground.

Fremantle didn’t leave the ground unscathed with Michael Apeness fracturing his collarbone, the forward was playing in his first AFL game for almost two years.
