Freo Win Without Fyfe

The Fremantle Dockers have overcome some lacklustre kicking to earn a 21-point win over Greater Western Sydney at Domain Stadium on Sunday afternoon, 12.12(84) to 9.9(63).

David Mundy recovered from migraines during the week to come out and kick a quick goal at the start of the game, Michael Walters quickly followed up with the Dockers second major.

Fremantle missed many chances at goal to give the Giants a chance as they narrowed the margin, but GWS fell short and could not edge in front at any point of the game.

Jeremy Cameron was their only multiple goal kicker while the Dockers’ Walters kicked four goals and Matthew Pavlich and Chris Mayne kicked a couple each.

The Dockers were without their star midfielder in Nat Fyfe, but Lachie Neale stepped up in Fyfe’s absence and clocked up an impressive 38 disposals.
