It was an arm wrestle at Metricon Stadium between the cellar dwellers Fremantle Dockers and Adelaide Crows, as both clubs searched for their first win of the season.

Adelaide Crows were inconsistent in front of goals only managing to register their first goal just before half time through Myles Poholke.

Fremantle Dockers were put under pressure in the third however with Crows piling on the points quickly and Reece Conca out of the game with a hamstring injury.

With just one point the difference heading into the final quarter Matthew Taberner and Michael Walters kicked one each to extend the lead. Coach Justin Longmuir animated in the coaches box – riding every goal home.

It was a Darcy Tucker goal that was the final ‘nail in the coffin’ for the Adelaide Crows – Freo getting their first win of the 2020 season by 20 points.

“It’s not a win for me its a win for our footy club – we have done a lot of heavy lifting early in the season and clearly haven’t played a home game yet. But all our staff and players have been so positive and trying to constantly improve so they deserve this.”
