The Federal Labor Government still has a long road ahead of them to galvanize their budget with the Australian public, thanks in large part to attacks from almost every other political party.

While both WA and Federal Nationals continue to malign the upcoming end to the live export cattle trade, Liberals have skewered the “inflationary” spending of projects outlined in the 2024-25 Federal Budget, while the Greens have accused the Government of “greenwashing” and providing little substance to renewable energy development.

Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie has taken Anthony Albanese to task for the “lazy” plan to give a $300 rebate to all Australians, regardless of income.

Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers talked to Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR MorningsĀ about the “new challenges” faced by Government, and why he understood that, for many, the news is a bitter pill to swallow.

Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles joined Oliver Peterson on Perth Live 24 hours after the Budget announcement, stating that “Labour governments have to put sound and prudent economic management at the heart” of their proposition to the people, with cost of living pressures driving their budget decisions.
