It might seem like a bit of a non-starter, but the Premier’s decision to drive a road train during his trip to Fitzroy Crossing has once again dug up the age-old argument around “truthiness” in politics.
While launching the brand-new Fitzroy River Bridge six months early, Mr Cook took the opportunity afforded to him by Senator Glenn Sterle to drive the heavy vehicle.
Yet doubts, questions and grey areas around exactly where and how the trip took place have been left on the tarmac.
