Bensley’s tip & Melbourne Cup sweep

Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup will be the 156th running of the famous race.
A third of the field from last year returns, with ten raiders (born and trained overseas) and ten imports (born overseas), one Australian bred-and-owned horse (Jameka) and three Kiwi horses.
There will be a sea of blue in the field with five Godolphin runners (royal blue) and four Lloyd Williams horses (navy blue).
Sky Racing‘s Andrew Bensley has tipped Almandin with Kerrin McEvoy aboard to win. It would be McEvoy’s second Cup win and Lloyd Williams’ record fifth as an owner.
