Jason Behrendorff says he isn’t focussed on an international call-up after being overlooked for the upcoming ODI series against India. 

Behrendorff’s Scorchers teammate and fellow left-armer Joel Paris was selected ahead of him, despite his apparent inexperience. 

The 25-year-old quick Behrendorff has pushed for national selection with strong performances across all three formats. 

‘To be honest, it’s fine with me. It’s not something I was really thinking about or focussing on,’ he said.  

‘I was basically focussing on just getting back and playing cricket for the Scorchers.

‘(Being selected) would have been an absolute bonus, but not something I was banking on.

‘So for me at the moment, I’m really happy with what’s going on and where my cricket is at.

‘Like I said before, I’ve just got to stay fit and keep taking wickets and I’ll be okay.’
