A volcano on Lombok Island is continuing to cause disruptions for those heading to and from Bali leaving hundreds of Aussies stranded.

Flights to and from Indonesia have been interrupted over the last week. With a growing backlog of flights Mick called 6PR to say he’d been offered a nice alternative from Jetstar which he intends to accept.

Jetstar’s website lists possible alternatives for travellers at no added cost to their cancelled flight plans. Destinations include: Fiji, Thailand, Hawaii, New Zealand and Uluru among others.

Virgin Australia is offering similar alternatives though Hawaii is not among their listed destinations.
