Australian entertainment royalty Patti Newton who is playing the Bird Woman in Mary Poppins the Musical joined Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live.

Ms Newton reflected on the passing of her late partner and entertainment icon Bert Newton and said she believed Bert sent the beautiful Mary Poppins role to her.

Mary Poppins the Musical kicks off on Saturday at Crown Theatre and will run through until the end of October.
