Home truths: Perth fans lashed for foul language at Glory staff
Perth Glory CEO Tony Pignata has urged members to stop sending vile emails and threatening phone calls to staff after a health directive stated members had to be vaccinated to enter the club’s home ground HBF Park.
“You know we’ve got young girls on the phones and reading this sort of messages, and the language.. I just can’t believe people can write this sort of stuff,” he told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.
“I was very angry when I heard about this last night and felt I had to act on it, and jumped on Twitter and said people need to stop it and just get a grip.”
Glory return home this weekend for their first match in Perth on Sunday after a significant stint on the road due to the WA’s hard border.
To all members who are sending vile and disgusting emails and threatening phone calls to our staff please stop. It won’t be tolerated. We have a directive from WA Police and WA Govt regarding being vaccinated and being able to enter HBF stadium. We are simply the messenger.
