West Coast skipper still in doubt for Derby

Article image for West Coast skipper still in doubt for Derby

Luke Shuey is back to training with the group this week after he injured his left hamstring in West Coast’s round 5 clash with Sydney.

The skipper missed three quarters of the win over Sydney and last week’s victory over Adelaide, Josh Kennedy says Shuey is returning to training but is unlikely to play in the Derby on Sunday.

“I know that he’s going to be training with us on Thursday, which is our main training session, I don’t know how much he’s doing, but it has been a couple weeks and I know that he did do a good tear of it, so if it’s not this week, it should be next week.
“But he will be in contention if he’s training,” Kennedy told 6PR Breakfast.
