Boredom sparks creativity

Millsy & Karl

“I’m bored!” It’s a phrase all parents know well, but let your kids say it because according to parenting experts, it sparks creativity and helps with problem-solving.

“Parents don’t have to entertain their children all of the time, actually boredom is fantastic for children’s play and development,” Julie Green, the director of Raising Children Network told 6PR Breakfast.
“When people do push through the boredom there’s so much creative thinking and problem solving so it can be a great catalyst.”

The 6PR Breakfast listeners joined in with the games they used to make up when they were bored as kids.
