A boat had broken free from its mooring at Red Bluff, prompting the owner’s friend to jump into his helicopter. After a two-hour search, they successfully located the vessel.

Coral Coast Helicopter Services chief executive and chief pilot Justin Borg told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl the task was like finding a speck in the ocean, though he maintained a great sense of humour throughout the ordeal.

“We actually located a boat that we thought was the missing vessel but it ended up turning out to be a charter boat so while we were over the top of the charter boat we pinned his spot so we can steal his fish for next time”, he said.
