Kate Gibson of the Hiking Collective explained to 6PR Long Lunch host Chrissy Morrissy that research supports the concept of more nature breaks, but suggests 25 minutes per day may be more effective than a full day off.

“Walking boosts creative output by 60 to 80 per cent. Memory can improve by nearly 20 per cent after a walk in nature and we’re able to increase dopamine production or happy hormones and improve learning and memory function by up to 25 per cent,” she said.
