Michael Paynter’s resumé was already impressive, but he has now been anointed to be the voice of John Farnham in the brand new musical, ‘Whispering Jack’.

The singer is clearly thrilled, stating: “Its a massive honour, I think he is objectively the best singer that this country has ever produced,”.

6PR Breakfast listeners were treated to an impressive rendition of his work in the studio, where he also spoke to Millsy and Karl about his own show, ‘The Great Australian Songbook’, coming to Perth later this year.

Speaking about his song choices, he added: “The songs that come from this country that mean the most to me,” he said.
