Pete Ford has discussed the sad passing of Perth actor Johnny Ruffo who died at the age of 35 due to brain cancer.

“When the news came in on Friday, I think there was this collective sigh right around the country because even though the odds were stacked against him, you kind of hope against hope,” he told Millsy and Karl.

He also revealed older castmates from Home and Away were invited to go see the actor in the week before his passing.
