64 homeless people turned away every day, due to shortage of services
Shelter WA reports a 17 per cent increase in the number of people experiencing homelessness, from the 2006 Census to the 2011 count.
And chief executive Chantal Roberts expects that number to rise even further in next Tuesday’s ABS Census.
On the 6PR Morning Show, Ms Roberts has told Gary Adshead that 64 people are turned away every day, because there are not enough services for them in WA.
