400 people caught speeding in school zone… in one afternoon
WA Police are reminding motorists to reduce their speed to 40kms/hr in school zones with one camera operation last week amounting to 401 infringements.
“These motorists total disregard for the school zone endangers not only children, but the wardens working the crossing,” WA Police said in a statement.
Acting Traffic Commander Mike Peters told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings police are asking for a “very small sacrifice” from drivers.
“I really want to get the point across the point that school zones only really operate between 7.30 and 9am and 2.30 and 4pm,” Cmdr Peters said.
