$1m grants offered to help local businesses prepare for solar eclipse chaos
The State Government has granted forty Gascoyne businesses a share of $837,000 to prepare themselves for the flood of travelers during April’s total solar eclipse.
Jobs and Trade and Tourism Minister, Roger Cook, told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings they are expecting anywhere between 20,000 – 50,000 to attend the solar eclipse in WA.
“People around the globe will be traveling to Western Australia, and Exmouth in particular, to experience this global phenomenon,” Mr Cook said.
