Most recognisable as Brett from the cult classic sitcom ‘Kath & Kim’, Pete Rowthorn grew up in Melbourne before relocating to Perth.

One of the country’s most recongnisable comedian actors was told by his Year 10 teacher to quit school. He didn’t. Instead, he became famous.

But surprisingly, the ABC didn’t want him to star in its iconic series. But Gina Riley and Jane Turner had other ideas.
