Wuhan lab or seafood market? Aussie scientist pinpoints origin of COVID-19 to within metres

There have been multiple academic papers, conversations and studies about the origin of the COVID-19 virus.
But according to University of Sydney evolutionary scientist and the Prime Minister’s 2021 scientist of the year, Eddie Holmes, there is overwhelming evidence that the virus could not have come from a laboratory some 30km from the Wuhan’s seafood market.
Professor Holmes has co-authored two new multinational studies, which he says show the Huanan seafood wholesale market in Wuhan as the epicentre of the original COVID-19 outbreak that has gone on to kill more than 5 million people.
“There is simply a lack of any evidence linking this virus to that laboratory,” he told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings.
“Other than that, there has been any material evidence that the virus has leaked from the lab.
“Now we have positive data showing in fact the early cases of COVID-19 in Wuhan are very strongly linked to this one place, the seafood market, 30km from the lab.”
