Will Schofield: “This one is down to a two-man race”

Schofield and Captain

West Coast Premiership player Will Schofield has shared his perspective on the next captain of the West Coast Eagles.

Speaking during his regular spot on Wide World of Sports on Tuesday nights, Schofield said he feels two players stand out as the best candidates.

“This one is down to a two-man race; Oscar Allen and Liam Duggan.”

“That’s how I’m seeing things right now.”

Allen has already had a huge impact for the club at the age of 24 whilst Liam Duggan has accumulated 158 games as an honest defender.

“If they give the captain to Oscar Allen, you think he’d be doing it for the next ten years.”

“If it’s Liam Duggan, that would be a bit of a stop-gap for the next few years and then it’ll be Oscar Allen.”
