Will Schofield has responded to the latest list of delistings from the West Coast Eagles on Thursday night’s Wide World of Sports.

The 194-gamer suggested that some players where perhaps a little unlucky not having the opportunity to play where they are most comfortable.

“I don’t think they were ever played where they played their best footy at state league level.”

Schofield also raised the query of why these players didn’t reach the heights expected.

“I don’t think we’ve seen the development of younger players like the club or the players would have liked.”

“Whose responsibility is it to develop these players? Is it the responsibility of the club, or is it on the players to take their opportunities?”

“There’s responsibility that lays in both of those groups.”
