‘Why are we paying?’: Millsy rages over taxpayers funding MP families’ premium experiences
The use of taxpayer funds to cover travel and events for members of parliament’s families has come under intense scrutiny.

Since 2022, Australian Minister for Communications Anika Wells and Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell have collectively claimed nearly $170,000 from the public purse to send their family members to major sporting fixtures, including the AFL Grand Finals, Boxing Day Tests, and the Australian Open Tennis.
“If people want to justify it because it’s in the rules and they haven’t broken any rules then the rules are absolutely crook,” Millsy argued.
