Have you ever looked at a butterfly and thought; why do these exist?

Thankfully, Australia is home to many pioneering researchers exploring the many species of butterfly and the effects they have on our environment.

Australian National University Associate Professor Michael Braby told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings Australia has a huge number of butterfly species, but they’re not always noticed.

“I guess the average person doesn’t often see them; I think that’s because many of our species are quite small, inconspicuos and they fly at strange times of the day,” Professor Braby said.
