What to do with Jager?

Article image for What to do with Jager?

Karl Langdon has urged Gold Coast to get a deal done for Jaeger O’Meara, while Brad Hardie says the Suns should send him to the pre-season draft if need be.

If Hawthorn can not appease the Suns with a suitable trade, O’Meara would have to head into the pre-season draft where Essendon have the first pick.

Hardie said Gold Coast should not have pandered to the talented 22-year-old’s request to be trade to Hawthorn and done a deal with Essendon.

Langdon argued that the Suns need to ensure they get something for O’Meara.

‘That would be moronic. It would be moronic, Brad,’ Langdon said about letting the West Aussie walk into the pre-season draft.

‘I don’t see why they would give up a really good player and get nothing for it.’
