Water suppliers across WA will soon go head to head to find out who’s tap water tastes best in the 2023 IXOM Best Tasting Tap Water competition.

The comp will surely settle a few scores between suburbs about what defines the fluid that comes out of our faucets.

Water Industry Operators Association of Australia CEO Dean Barnett told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the challenge shines a light on water treatment programs that are ‘stepping up’ in delivering safe drinking water.

“It does come down to the source, but also the whole process of how the water is treated; it really makes a big difference,” Mr Barnett said.
