While WA remains the centre of the space junk mystery, Curtin’s successful Binar program is set to create its own space buzz when it launches a huge High-Altitude Balloon (HAB) mission in York today.

Project lead Doctor Phil Bland told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast Curtin and other WA research groups arew at the current forefront of spacefaring technology.

“We flew our first spacecraft a few years ago and we have a few more coming up; we even have plans for a WA moon mission,” Dr Bland said.
