Australian selectors have rewarded Sheffield Shield form for the winter Test tours of the West Indies and England by selecting the most dominant batsman and bowler of the domestic seasons, Adam Voges and Fawad Ahmed, for the series.

Workhorse paceman Peter Siddle will return to the squad for the two tours after falling out of favour this summer but responding with a dominant Shield season, while NSW’s Peter Nevill has overtaken Victoria’s Matthew Wade as the preferred Test understudy to wicketkeeper Brad Haddin.
