The State Government has declared a WA Police trial of low Earth orbit satellite technology a great success.

8.5 million dollars will now be spent to utilise the technology in remote locations.

Police Minister Paul Papalia told Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live the technology will increase community safety not only for Police officers but the community.

It will be used by about 130 regional stations as well as specialist teams including the Tactical Response Group.
