The WA Police Commissioner has thrown his support behind a campaign by the WA Primary Principals’Association, that calls for mandatory sentencing of people found guilty of assaulting school staff.

Karl O’Callaghan has told Gary Adshead on the 6PR Morning Program, he believes that like police, corrective services and others, principals, deputy principals and teachers should be considered public officers.
