An Alinta Energy spokesman claims the utility does offer discounts and competitive prices, before customers choose to leave their gas network.

Alinta Energy has been in contact with customers once they’ve made the switch to rival provider Kleenheat, to offer discounted packages and lure those customers back to Alinta.

But it’s still not clear how existing Alinta customers find out about those discounted packages, with Executive Director of Retail, Jim Galvin not drawn on why the discounts are not freely advertised by the utility.
