The chain of play is broken: Josh Kennedy

West Coast are struggling to find form at the Gold Coast hub after two straight losses in Queensland and this weekend they have a challenge when they go up against the in-form Port Adelaide Power.

Eagles forward Josh Kennedy says the team has the talent, but they aren’t playing as a team.

“We’re not winning the football at the moment, if you can’t win the football then you can’t get the ball movement that we rely on and we can’t get those inside 50s.

“There’s a few things that have been breaking down in the chain of our style of play, but we’re working on them,” Kennedy told 6PR Breakfast.

“The abilities there; we’ve got the guys who are pretty talented guys, so it’s just a matter getting them on track and doing what they do best.”

Kennedy also said he had some personal cheerleaders in the small crowd at the GABBA last week.

“We had 2,000 on the weekend, there was probably 1,998 Brisbane supporters and two were West Coast supporters, which were my dad and step mum,” he admitted.
