International crime syndicates were tricked into using police-monitored encrypted phones.

Joseph Cox, author of Dark Wire, spoke to 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead about Australia’s role in the largest law enforcement sting operation ever.

‘They have seeded paranoia among organised criminals because they can’t trust these phones anymore,’ he said.
