Brad Hardie says West Coast Eagles legend Peter Sumich has turned his back on a coaching offer from his former club. 

Sumich played 150 games for West Coast including two Premierships, coached at the club from 2002-2010 before he joined the Dockers under Ross Lyon. 

The 48-year-old informed the Dockers late in the 2016 season he would not continue in his role as an assistant coach and finished up at the club.

‘I believe he may have rejected an offer from the West Coast Eagles even as late as today,’ Hardie said.
