Simpson happy but not satisfied

West Coast Eagles coach Adam Simpson was happy with their round one win over the Brisbane Lions but far from satisfied.

The Eagles won by 64 points over the lions in Sunday’s twilight match with Matt Priddis (43 possessions), Josh Kennedy (eight goals) and Nic Naitanui (22 possessions, six marks, 46 hit outs and two goals) the stand outs.

Speaking on 6PR’s Sports Today, Simpson said they were pleased to win and get through relatively unscathed.

‘We did a lot of things that we were pleased with, but it wasn’t really the game we’d like to be writing home about.

‘I think there’s a couple of things there we can improve on.’

Simpson had quickly turned his attention to a grand final replay against Hawthorn this week and said he was preparing for the Hawks best.
