Port Beach has been a hub for shark fishermen in recent weeks with the local community voicing their concerns and calling for action.

The WA government has now banned practices used to catch sharks on beaches from Fremantle to Cottesloe. Marine Biologist, Dr Shanta Barley joined Perth Live and said she was impressed to see how rapidly the policy was implemented.
