Tom Scully has spoken about the pressure faced as a number one draft pick.

Scully was taken by Melbourne with the number one pick of the 2009 draft and made his debut in round one of 2010.

The now 24-year-old made a controversial swap to Greater Western Sydney after just two seasons and 31 games at the Demons.

In career-best form speaking on 6PR Sports Today, Karl Langdon asked him about the pressures he’s felt in his career.

‘I probably have been under a little bit of pressure,’ Scully

‘There were probably stages, particularly in the early years of the Giants, when we weren’t going all that well and personally and collectively we were struggling.

‘It was difficult at times, but I suppose I’ve been very lucky to have very good support around me.

‘I’ve always had the burning desire in my mind and that hasn’t wavered one bit.’
