Reports indicate a growing number of parents are bypassing prescriptions to buy melatonin for their children online.

Dr Michael Page, AMA WA President, explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that overseas melatonin purchased online is illegal and not regulated by Australia.

“If your buying it online from overseas and it’s not TGA approved you actually don’t know what your getting,” he said.
