Racing and Wagering WA have announced they will host thoroughbred racing on Good Friday at Ascot, the first time they have run a race on the Easter public holiday. 

The manager of Racing Commercial and Planning at Racing and Wagering WA, David Hunter, says it’ll be a good alternative option for families on the public holiday; a day that is normally void of drinking, gambling and sporting events.
