Pope Leo XIV is the first American-born pontiff and only became a cardinal in 2023.

Associate Professor Joel Hodge from Australian Catholic University, explained to 6PR Breakfast host Millsy and Karl the pope’s background and what he stands for.

“He talked about that in his first speech: the church is for everyone, welcoming for everyone, walking with everyone,” he said.
