“You can sign as many petitions as you like”

Jamie Burnett

Constitutional Law professor Anne Twomey says Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s withdrawal from Clive Palmer’s fight against WA’s borders is “too little, too late”.

Professor Twomey, from the University of Sydney, says the only significant contribution the Commonwealth could make to the case had already been made in the Federal court.

Professor Twomey also said no amount of signatures or petitions would have any affect on the high court’s ruling.

Federal Shadow Minister for Trade Madeleine King also said Scott Morrison’s actions came far too late.
